Open Family Fun Day. 30 minute one to one coaching sessions in various angling techniques (Specimen, Pole, Waggler, Whip and Feeder etc). Wildlife treasure trail, catapult competition, casting competition, guess the weight, guess the number of boilies, wildlife picture quiz, biggest fish, most fish etc.
The family day is to encourage existing club members and non members of all ages to invite their family along to the lakes. It is also to invite the local community to come along and get involved in celebrating National Fishing Month and all the fringe benefits that angling offers as a sport.

From Bath, take the A39 at the Newton St Loe roundabout towards Marksbury. Take the right fork onto the A368 and after approximately one mile, turn right onto Hunstrete Lane (sign posted Hunstrete House Hotel). Hunstrete Lakes is on the left hand side as you enter into Hunstrete village.

Everyone and anyone, particularly those who would like to encourage their family members to share their interest in angling.
Hunstrete Lake offers accessible fishing platforms next to disabled parking bays. Surrounding ground surfaces are gravel and can be uneven in places. Some wheel chair users find these surfaces difficult to traverse. A disabled access toilet is available, but located approximately 300 yards away from Withy Pool by the Fishery entrance. Some disabled anglers choose to drive. An application for a disabled toilet next to Withy Pool is being sought.
