Coarse
4 Metre Whip fishing for beginners. Water Safety Code & Risk Assessing,
Fish identification, welfare and anatomy.
Play and land fish safely.
Compete in a competition.
Children and young people will learn how to use a whip, play and land fish safely.
They will also learn about safety around water.
Identify coarse fish, how to handle the fish and name the various parts of the fish's body. The final part of the day will be a fishing competition supported by qualified, CRB coaches.

Travel from Northampton heading east on the A45 towards Raunds. Continue over all the roundabout until you get to the last round about at Raunds. Take the first exit towards Ringstead, when you get to the intersection, turn left onto Church Street, Church Street becomes Station Road, continue on this road until the road takes a curve right, DONT TAKE THE CURVE, continue straight onto a narrower road. You will see a lake on your right and a farm on your left, continue on this narrow road until you come to a yellow gate.
The lake is on the left immediately after the yellow gate. We will unlock the gate for you.

This event is aimed at children and young people with disabilities to encourage them to participate in the sport of angling.
There are four disabled pegs.
British Disability Angling Association have given advice on running fishing events.
