Taster Day Children & Young People
Tuesday 27th August, 2013 (Time: 9.00am - 3.00pm)

Coarse
4 Metre Whip fishing for beginners. Water Safety Code & Risk Assessing,
Fish identification, welfare and anatomy.
Play and land fish safely.
Compete in a competition.
Description:
Children and young people will learn how to use a whip, play and land fish safely.
They will also learn about safety around water.
Identify coarse fish, how to handle the fish and name the various parts of the fish's body. The final part of the day will be a fishing competition supported by qualified, CRB coaches.

Yelvertoft is not far from M1 Junction 18. As you go through Yelvertoft village turn into Elkington Road – About 200 yds turn left into Tarrys End and go through the large metal gate.

Participants will be required to bring their own packed lunch due to dietry requirements.

This event is aimed at children and young people with disabilities to encourage them to participate in the sport of angling.
Disability information:
The pegs have barriers that can be used for wheel chairs.
The pathways are good for wheel chairs.
There is a disabled toilet on site.
British Disability Angling Association have given advice on running fishing events.
Tarpaulin will be available for shelter.
