The Environment Agency has organised a series of free fishing events for beginners to try their hand at both fly and coarse fishing. Budding anglers can book a place at an event where qualified coaches will be on hand. All equipment, including tackle, will be provided..

During the morning you will learn all the basic skills from casting a rod, basic fly choice, safety when fishing fishing methods, knots and tactics.
After lunch you'll have the chance to put this into practice, fish the lakes and take your first fish home.
