GVAC - NFM Fish Club Event

Saturday 11th August, 2018 (Time: 9.00am - 2.00pm)


All ages welcome
Please wear appropriate clothing for the weather conditions on the day

Please wear strong footwear as the ground can be wet or sometimes slippery. If its sunny then a hat and sun cream should be taken to the event

A drink and snack are also essential for the session


Join us on our annual National Fishing Month fun days. Delivered by qualified coaches and volunteers, our sessions are designed to give you the opportunity to experience fishing in a safe, friendly and fun environment.

Whatever your level of skill we'll help you catch on our purpose built lake packed full of fish.
All equipment is supplied by the club, but if you want to bring your own then please feel free to do so.

Everyone who takes part will receive a certificate and momento of the day.

So come along and join us... you won't be disappointed!!

Location information:

The location:- Stonham Barns - Match Lake, Pettaugh Road, Stonham Aspal, Suffolk, IP14 6AT
From junction 51 of the A14, Take the A140 signposted Diss/Norwich. Stay on this road until you reach Earl Stonham.
As you descend into Earl Stonham you will come to a crossroads.
Turn right at the crossroads onto the A1120 (Stowmarket Road), signposted Stonham Aspal.
Carry on along this road for approx. 2 miles.
Keep an eye out for Stonham Barns signs.
The road widens out as you approach Stonham Barns. Now turn right.
As you come into Stonham Barns you drive towards the crazy golf course with a car park & playground on your left and shops on your right
As you approach the crazy golf, take the stone road/track on your left.
Drive all the way along this track, with the match lake on your left and the driving range on your right.
The car park is situated between the lakes and close to the fishing shop hut.

We do sometimes hold a BBQ at these events but we can't guarantee one at every session.

Additional Notes:
There will always be at least one level 2 coach at our events as well as level 1 coaches. All our coaches are very experienced and have been coaching for a number of years.
We also have a number volunteers all with considerable angling experience.

Together they make up the GVAC Junior Coaching Team

Additional comments:
Our events are designed for anyone who wants to come and fish. From beginner to advanced, all levels can be catered for.

Just come along and join us. You won't be disappointed!!

Disability information:

Our purpose built lake gives easy access to disabled anglers, with nearby car park & toilet facilities. Banks are grassed but flat & wide.
Each peg has a kick board at the front to stop wheelchairs slipping forward.

Parking information:

Parking is limited on the lakes car park so please park sensibly if you are intending to stay for the day with your child
