Please wear appropriate clothing for the weather conditions on the day

Please wear strong footwear as the ground can be wet or sometimes slippery. If its sunny then a hat and sun cream should be taken to the event

A drink and snack are also essential for the session

Description:

Join us on our annual National Fishing Month fun days. Delivered by qualified coaches and volunteers, our sessions are designed to give you the opportunity to experience fishing in a safe, friendly and fun environment.

Whatever your level of skill we'll help you catch on our purpose built lake packed full of fish.
All equipment is supplied by the club, but if you want to bring your own then please feel free to do so.

Everyone who takes part will receive a certificate and momento of the day.

So come along and join us... you won't be disappointed!!

Directions/Parking
The location:- Middle Farm Lakes, Barking Tye, post code IP6 8JD

From the main street through Needham Market (Ipswich Rd). Take the B1078 towards Barking, stay on this road.
As you approach Barking Tye village you will see a large green on your right-hand side.
Follow the road taking a right-hand bend through Barking Tye, still following village green on your right.
Follow the road taking a left-hand bend as road starts to the leave village.
Just before the end of the 30mph limit (& opposite rumble strip sign) take the concrete track on the right (very small ‘GVAC’ sign on telegraph pole).

Continue on this track (fields either side of you), as the track goes round to the right, take the unmade dirt track on the left & drive down and to the left of a large thatched cottage (again, small ‘GVAC’ sign on post by the road).

Follow this track all the way down to the car park situated between the two lakes – Woody’s lake is on the right as you enter the car park.

Please ensure you have a drink and small snack for the session.

We do sometimes hold a BBQ at these events but we can't guarantee one at every session.

  • Coaches licensed with the Angling Trust

Additional Notes:
There will always be at least one level 2 coach at our events as well as level 1 coaches. All our coaches are very experienced and have been coaching for a number of years.
We also have a number volunteers all with considerable angling experience.

Together they make up the GVAC Junior Coaching Team

Additional comments:
Our events are designed for anyone who wants to come and fish. From beginner to advanced, all levels can be catered for.

Disability information:

Our purpose built lake gives easy access to disabled anglers, with nearby car park & toilet facilities. Banks are grassed but flat & wide.
Each peg has a kick board at the front to stop wheelchairs slipping forward.

Parking information:

Parking is limited on the lakes car park so please park sensibly if you are intending to stay for the day with your child
