Learn about Water Safety Code & Risk Assessing,
Fish identification, welfare and anatomy.
Play and land fish safely.
Children and young people with disabilities will take part in a fishing match using various tackle. They will learn about match rules and fair play. They will also learn about safety around water.
Identify coarse fish, how to handle the fish and name the various parts of the fish's body.
Mill Cotton Lake, Ringstead
Mill Cotton lake fishery is located in Ringstead.
coming from Northampton, travel east on the A45 towards Raunds, when you get to the last round about at Raunds, take the 1st exit towards Ringstead. Travel until you reach Ringstead, at the junction turn left onto Station Road, continue on Station Road, when the road veers to the right, continue straight ahead onto a narrow road. (there will be a lake on your right hand side, continue along the narrow road until you get to a yellow gate. text 07840005276 and we will come and open the gate for you.

Refreshments will not be provided due to dietry needs. We will however provide water.
This will prove to be a learning experience for coaches and participants.
This event is aimed at children and young people with disabilities who live in Northamptonshire.
The pegs are disability friendly.
Umbrellas will be available for shelter.
There are toilets on site.

There is designated parking, however parents/carers will be dropping off only.
