The following Events took place on Saturday 5th August 2017:
As part of the Cassiobury Farm & Fishery Open Days (www.cassioburyfarm.co.uk) . The team from Watford Angling Coaches will be on hand to provide 30 minute angling taster sessions, tank talks and general advice. All ages catered for!.
Fish N.A.F.A'S Wheel Pond for carp, tench, roach, crucians and bream with help from qualified instructors.
Two arena features, with friendly competitions promoting Coarse Angling, aimed at novice Anglers, particularly family visitors to the show.
Bring your friends, bring your family, head to your local waterway and discover a love for fishing together.
Taster fishing sessions with professional coaches. Come along and reserve a time slot with a coach to learn the basics of fishing. Other activities including canoeing taster sessions will be available on the day. Find out how you can enjoy your local waterway.
Fishing coaching sessions are open to everyone including those with disabilities. Please provide further info when booking your fishing coaching slot.
Parking is available in nearby Canal & River Trust car park..
The event is split into 3 sessions:
12.00 noon - 2.00pm
2.00pm - 4.00pm
The Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs Inland Fisheries (DAERA) are hosting this event. Complimentary licences/permits are available only to first time anglers. Tuition and equipment will be offered on the day. Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
Inland Fisheries representatives will be in attendance to offer advice on fishing and the attractions of the Department's Public Angling Estate which offers over 70 waters across Northern Ireland including Altnahinch.

Opportunity to try fishing in a match as part of the Young Anglers YOUFISH programme. Working in partnership with the Angling Trust and Nottingham Anglers Association. Pre registration is recommended as places are limited.
Introduction to fishing through both coarse fishing and fly casting open to EVERYONE!
This series of events are aimed at everyone who wants to try out fishing, and those who want to take up fishing as a hobby, with advice on clubs and fisheries where help/coaching is available.
Join us on our annual National Fishing Month fun days. Delivered by qualified coaches and volunteers, our sessions are designed to give you the opportunity to experience fishing in a safe, friendly and fun environment.
Whatever your level of skill we'll help you catch on our purpose built lake packed full of fish.
All equipment is supplied by the club, but if you want to bring your own then please feel free to do so.
Everyone who takes part will receive a certificate and momento of the day.
